One of the main purposes of the current research on the adsorbent material is to develop high-performance adsorbent from kaolin. In general, an ideal adsorbent is an adsorbent that has significant adsorption capacity at mild temperature and pressure, high selectivity, good thermal stability, excellent mechanical properties and low production cost (Jeevanandam et al., 2005). However, the most challenging factor of the current adsorbent is to produce low-cost adsorbent with high adsorption capacity and can be used at a wide range of temperature.Kwa?ny and Balcerzak, (2016) have reviewed and analyzed the biogas desulfurization process using the particular activated carbon, oxide adsorbents, and zeolites in the adsorption process from the published journal. The authors have concluded that carbon, mineral, and mineral-carbon materials are commonly applied as adsorbents. They also found that the highest desulfurization efficiency is observed on activated carbons and their modified forms but it should be noted that H2S removal on activated carbon decreases significantly when water vapor is present in a gas mixture. In addition, they also found that the adsorption capacity of specific oxide adsorbent was increase to more than 20% of the adsorbent weight. Besides, they have reported zeolite has shown low desulfurization efficiency but can be increased by modification of surface silicates.
